Every year, First Bilingual Preparatory School celebrates Valentine’s Day with a fashion show made out of recycled materials. This year’s show was organized by Mrs. Ruiz and The Style Squad. The theme for this year’s show was Runway Con. Students were dressed in different costumes made out of recyclable materials. Our students were very creative incorporating the materials to create their outfits. Students from K- to ninth grade dressed up as Ninja Turtles, Catwoman, Darth Vader just to name a few. Others decided to make fashionable hand bags, headbands, and even jewelry!
The show also featured the Music elective and Glee club; they interpreted various popular songs, such as “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran and “Hello” by Adele. Their performances were amazing! Kindergarten through ninth grade also choreographed dances to songs. Parents as well as the administration were very proud of their students and all of their hard work to make this year’s Valentine’s Day program a success!
